What is the Make Your Own Grillz Workshop?
The Make Your Own Grill Workshop is a hands-on creative experience that allows you to participate in the beginning stages of making your own custom grill.
You will learn how the grillz-making process begins, work directly on a model of your teeth, and create your own design using jewelry wax. After the workshop, the HighKei team will professionally cast, finish, and polish your design.
Do I need any jewelry-making experience?
No previous experience is required.The workshop is designed for beginners, and our team will guide you throughout the process. All you need is an open mind, patience, and a willingness to create.
What will I do during the workshop?
During the workshop, you will:
● Take an impression of your teeth
● Learn how a dental model is created
● Work with jewelry wax
● Sculpt wax directly onto your tooth model
● Create your own custom grill design
● Learn about the beginning stages of the grillz-making process
Will I cast and polish the grill myself?
No. For customer safety, participants do not perform the metal casting, grinding, or polishing process during the workshop. These steps involve specialized equipment, high temperatures, and professional finishing tools.
After you complete your wax design, the HighKei team will professionally cast, finish, and polish your grill.
Will I leave with my finished grill the same day?
No. Your grill will not be completed during the workshop.
After your wax design is finished, it must go through the casting, cleaning, fitting, finishing, and polishing process. You will be contacted when your completed grill is ready for pickup or shipping.
How long does the workshop take?
Each workshop session is approximately 3 hours.
The exact length may vary depending on the size of the group, the design selected, and how much assistance each participant needs.
What is included with the workshop?
The workshop includes:

● A dental model of your teeth
● Jewelry wax
● Access to workshop tools
● A custom one-to-three-tooth grill

What material is included?
Sterling silver is included with the standard workshop experience.
Gold and gold plating options may be available for an additional charge. Solid gold pricing will depend on the karat, and number of number of teeth.
How many teeth can I make?
The standard workshop includes a one-to-three- conjoined teeth grill.
Additional teeth may require an additional charge and must be discussed and approved before your workshop date.
Can I create any design I want?
You will have the opportunity to personalize your design, but the design must be realistic for the size and shape of your teeth and achievable within the workshop time.
Highly detailed designs, 3D elements, stones, and enamel are not available as they require specific needs to be met that are too advanced for a beginner class.
Our team may recommend changes to help make your design wearable, durable, and suitable for casting. If your grill fail to cast a Highkei employee will contact you with replacements options
Can I bring a reference picture?
Yes. You are encouraged to bring reference pictures or design ideas .
Reference photos are used for inspiration. Your design may need to be adjusted to fit the size and shape of your teeth or to make sure it can be properly cast and finished.
What types of designs are beginner-friendly?
Beginner-friendly designs may include:
● Solid caps
● Open-face designs
● Hearts
● Stars
● Simple shapes
● Basic cutouts
● Simple patterns
Our team will help you choose or adjust a design that can be completed during the workshop.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind being exposed to light dust or wax shavings.
● Tie back long hair
● Secure or remove loose sleeves
● Remove hanging jewelry or items that may interfere with tools
What tools will I use?
Depending on your design, you may use:
● Wax-carving tools
● X-Acto-style knives
● Heated wax pens
● Small shaping tools
● Dental impression materials
● Dental stone materials
Safety instructions will be provided before you begin using the tools.
Is the workshop safe?
HighKei provides safety guidance and instruction throughout the workshop. However, participants will be working with sharp tools, heated wax pens, wax fumes, dental materials, and light dental-stone dust.
All participants must follow the instructor’s directions and use the tools responsibly. A signed workshop waiver is required before participation.
Is there an age requirement?
Participants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
A parent or legal guardian may also be required to complete and sign the workshop waiver. Specific age requirements may vary depending on the workshop location or event.
Can I attend if I have braces?
The standard dental impression and grillz-making process may not be suitable for someone with braces.
Please contact HighKei before booking so we can review your situation and determine whether you can safely participate.
Can I participate if I have missing teeth?
Yes, depending on the location of the missing tooth or teeth.
Missing teeth may affect the design, fit, and final price of your grill. Please notify HighKei before your workshop so we can determine if you are able to participate in the session.
Can I participate if I have crowns, veneers, implants, or other dental work?
Dental work may affect your impression and the fit of your finished grill.
Please contact HighKei before booking if you have crowns, veneers, bridges, implants, loose teeth, cavities, recent dental procedures, or other significant dental concerns.You may be advised to speak with a licensed dental professional before participating.
What if my dental impression does not come out correctly?
Our team will review your dental impression during the workshop.
If the impression is incomplete, distorted, damaged, or missing important tooth and gumline details, you may be asked to retake it. A clear and accurate impression is required to create a properly fitted grill.
How should my finished grill fit?
Your finished grill should feel secure without causing severe pressure, pain, cutting, or irritation.
● Do not force the grill onto your teeth
● Do not bend, squeeze, file, or adjust the grill yourself
Contact HighKei if you experience a fit issue.
What happens if my finished grill does not fit?
Contact HighKei as soon as possible.
You may be asked to provide photos or videos showing the fit issue. Depending on the situation, you may also need to return for an in-person fitting or provide a new dental impression.
Do not alter the grill yourself or take it to another jeweler before contacting HighKei.
How long will it take to receive my finished grill?
The estimated turnaround time will be provided during the workshop.
Production time may vary depending on:
● Material selection
● Number of teeth
● Casting schedule
● Additional fitting or production work
All turnaround times are estimates and are not guaranteed completion dates.
How will I know when my grill is ready?
HighKei will contact you using the phone number or email address provided during booking.
Please ensure your contact information is accurate. You are responsible for responding to pickup or shipping instructions.
Can my finished grill be shipped?
Yes. Shipping is available at the customer’s expense.

● A complete and accurate shipping address is required
● You must be available to receive or arrange
Can I pick up my finished grill?
Yes. Pickup instructions and available pickup times will be provided once your grill is complete.
Please wait for confirmation from HighKei before arriving for pickup.
Can I change my design after the workshop?
Once your wax design has been approved and submitted for casting, changes may not be possible.
Changes requested after production begins will be treated as custom grill and will require an additional fee.
Can I change my material after the workshop?
Material changes must be requested before your design is submitted for casting.
● Switching from silver to gold requires payment of the price difference
● Changing gold karat may affect pricing and production
● Changes may not be possible once production has started
What happens if I miss my workshop?
Workshop payments and deposits may be nonrefundable because materials, staffing, tools, and space are reserved for each participant.
Contact HighKei as soon as possible if you are unable to attend. Rescheduling may be available depending on availability.
Failure to attend without notice may result in loss of payment or deposit.
Can I arrive late?
Participants should arrive on time but are allotted 10 min after appointed time to ensure enough time to complete your design.
Late arrivals may have reduced time to complete their design and may need to reschedule if too late to participate safely.
Can I bring someone with me?
Due to limited seating and workspace, nonparticipating guests may not be allowed.
Anyone who wants to participate must have their own paid reservation. Contact HighKei before bringing a guest.
Can two people share one reservation?
No. Each participant must have their own reservation.
All materials, impressions, tools, instruction, and production are prepared individually.
Are private workshops available?
Yes. Private workshops may be available for:
● Birthdays
● Creative events
● Group celebrations
● Team-building events
● Brand activations
● Private parties

Can I purchase a workshop asa gift?
Yes. A workshop may be purchased for another person.
The participant must still meet all age and dental requirements and complete required waivers before attending.
Are refunds available?
Workshop purchases and deposits may be nonrefundable due to limited seating and reserved materials, staffing, and production services.
Refund or rescheduling decisions depend on circumstances, notice provided, and HighKei’s current policy.
How do I book the workshop?

Your reservation is not confirmed until payment is completed.
